The Cataraqui Source Protection Committee released its Draft Assessment Report for public review and comment on April 15.
“The Assessment Report is a major step in our work to protect drinking water sources in our area,” said John Williamson, Source Protection Committee Chair. “It represents the completion of most of our source water technical studies.”
“The purpose of the report is to identify areas where drinking water sources could become contaminated or overused,” added Williamson. “It also prioritizes issues and threats within those areas.”
Findings from the Draft Assessment Report will be presented at three public open houses. The open houses are scheduled from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a presentation at 7:00 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend any of the following open houses:
The open house in Napanee will be held jointly with the Quinte Source Protection Committee.
